Wearing Matching Shoes on Fourth of July !

First of all, Happy Fourth of July everybody! But, before I go off to have fun on this patriotic holiday, I just wanted to post a short article…

As we get ready to head out to a little party at a friend’s house, I figured me and Emma could go in our new matching Vans Sneakers! Well, okay, they’re not exactly matching, hers are Hello Kitty Vans, and mine are just plain white…

Although, I was about to get the adult sized Hello Kitty ones, but then I thought I wouldn’t be able to match them to many outfits. Anyway, Emma’s are so adorable that one of these days I may just cave and get those suckers anyway!

One of the many things I love about having a little girl is that I can relieve all those times when I saw something cute, like shoes or a pretty dress on someone or at a store, and so wished to have it. I used to obsess over items that I wanted to get and day-dreamed about getting them. Then when I would finally convince my parents to get whatever it was I just had to have (which sometimes could take weeks…), I would relish it for days!

Anyway, the Vans Sneakers were my latest must-have item, as I had seen them around and thought they looked so cute! So when I conveniently received a gift certificate, I thought it was a great opportunity to get my new sneakers!

Then, while at the store I saw the Hello Kitty ones, so while debating whether to get those or plain colored ones, I realized that Emma needed some shoes, as she’s inevitably outgrown all her summer ones from last year. So, that was the perfect chance to get her the adorable sneakers! Needless to say, she absolutely loves them…

So, now I am looking at them and thinking, “how cute are those, I would love to have a pair!”
