This past Christmas my daughter Emma and I flew out to Oklahoma for what was to be our first plane ride alone together, without papa. The first one went great, and this one was just as good too!
As you may have read elsewhere in this blog, Emma loooooooooves airplanes, so flying in one is like the ultimate super-fun adventure for her. She had a great day full of airplanes and flying, she loved every minute. We had a stop over in Dallas and we were supposed to be there only one hour. But, all flights were delayed due to weather and we ended up with a 4-hour layover.
It turned out to be great, though, because we were able to take our time and go eat something, plus go to the potty (a few times), which was easier at the airport terminal than in those miniature airplane bathrooms.
Anyway, Emma had a blast, especially when she was inside the airplane looking out the window as we took off and landed.
Now we are here and we will spend a couple of weeks helping out my mom (bam-bam) who just had knee surgery. We also get to see Emma’s cousin, Masha, and the two girls will have lots of playtime together. We are hoping that papa can meet us here in a few days as well, if he can get away from work.

My name is Anna Sanclement and I am a write-at-home-mom with a funny bone.

Nice story.
What a sweet little girl, and how good of a job you’ve done raising her that she didn’t freak out during a 4 hour delay! Well done.
