I just got my Hoover TwinTank Steam Mop and wanted to try it out right away! The first thing I noticed was how fast it heated up once I turned it on. I also like that it has an on/off button unlike some other steam cleaners that turn on and off by pluggin them in.
It is also nice that there are different heat and cleaning settings so that I can use hotter steam for bigger stains. The steam mop did an awesome job at quickly removing some stains left by our cat’s hair ball spit-up. With just two passes the stains were gone, which was very impressive.
The power cord folding latch is also very useful, and I like that it releases so the cord comes right down instead of having to wind it out.
The only thing that I wish was different is the size of the tank. It should be a little bigger so that the steam lasts longer, but then again, I realize it can’t be too much bigger, or it would make the mop too heavy.
Overall, this steam mop is really great and I love how well it cleans and how easy it is to use. It left our laminate hardwood floors super clean and disinfected by just using steam, and without heavy soaps or chemicals. The optional solution smells nice, and is good to use for bigger stains. But, the steam alone does a wonderful job at cleaning floors all on its own.
I will be using this steam mop regularly, that’s for sure!

Do you think your testing would have been any different if you had used detergent? I’m wondering whether it makes much of a difference. Steam mops are great to use, especially when you have pets and children!
