Crayola Summer Fun Gift Pack Review and Giveaway
I just recently received my awesome Crayola Summer Fun Gift Pack, which was put to use right away! Just as I got the package, we left for a short weekend getaway with my daughter and husband and Emma put her new Crayola goodies happily to the test.
The pack comes with a bunch of fun items for endless, and mess-free – yay! – coloring fun. I especially found useful the small coloring tube that comes with three markers. This is an awesome way for the kids to color in the car while in transit. The coloring paper in the tube easily rolls out and has pre-drawn cartoons that they can color in with the three included Mess Free Color Wonder markers. The paper also has an adhesive back which easily sticks and unsticks from most surfaces, such as a tray table or desk. The whole tube can be stored in the car seat’s cup holder when not in use too!
The markers contained with the coloring notebooks and pads are all Mess Free, and they only color on the special paper in the notebooks. If your kids decide to go nuts and try to color the couch, or the hotel room walls, nothing will happen… Ingenious!
Another item that’s really cool that came with my pack is a Dry Erase Board. It includes a bunch of pre-drawn sheets that can be inserted into the board’s clear hard plastic shell for tracing. Plus it also includes a sheet of removable decorating clings that can be placed on top of the plastic sleeve that comes with the kit in order to customize drawings.
There are a couple of coloring notebooks that are blank and a couple more that have pre-drawn cartoons with popular characters from Toy Story, Barbie, Cinderella, etc… all of which work with the Mess Free Color Wonder markers.
Another really cool item in the Crayola Summer Fun Pack is the Dry Erase Travel Pack, which comes in a cool fabric folder with a Velcro closure. This smaller dry erase pack comes with four fat crayons, instead of markers, but they color in very well on the plastic screen. The pack comes with several different sheets to trace and/or add to and an erase cloth. The crayons draw very smoothly and the screen is very easily erased clean.
Plus, one of the notebooks includes cool metallic paper that when drawn on with the Mess Free markers, the ink appears shiny like metal. The pictures on the notebook are from Hot Wheels cars, so their appeal may be bigger for boys (probably best suited for 5-7 year olds), but the effect is so cool, that most kids will love fiddling with it.
Lastly, there are the Crayola Color Wonder On the Go “paint” tubes, which are all clear gel, but like the markers, go on like colors when used on the special paper of the notebooks.
All these Crayola items are wonderful in keeping the kids busy for hours this summer. Your children will have blast coloring and painting with all the different notebooks, erase boards and paper.
